Security Challenge ("CAPTCHA") Explained

A CAPTCHA is a small test on a website that checks if you're a real person instead of an automated computer program or "bot".

It might ask you to type distorted letters, click certain images, or simply check a box saying "I'm not a robot."

Humans can easily pass these tasks, but bots usually can't, so CAPTCHAs help keep websites and their visitors safe from spam and fake activity.
